Vivid Impact targets $100M after years of rapid growth

According to CEO Sam Campitella, discovering the ever-changing answer to that question is the reason the marketing technology and visual communications company has been able to grow its revenue fourfold in less than a decade.

“Vivid has been able to grow at a very rapid rate because we have been methodical about who we want to go after and how we want to grow,” Campitella said.

In 2017, the company generated $16 million in revenue. By the end of 2026, Campitella said the company is anticipating reaching $70 million in annual revenue.

Founded in 1971, Vivid Impact focuses on visual communications for health care, convenience retail, and beverage and alcohol companies. Some of its customers include Humana, ISCO, Brown-Forman, Sazerac and BrightSpring.

Moving beyond printing

When Campitella joined the team in 2017 as vice president of sales, the company began asking its customers what more they could provide. That’s when the company dove into the automation and technology side of the industry.

“Commercial printing is something that will always be around, but everybody can do it,” Campitella said. “What we try to do is build service offerings that our clients could utilize on the front end that could enable print so we could be a larger supplier and a bigger partner.”

The company began using automation to feed its printing and artificial intelligence to help make day-to-day customer service more efficient, Campitella said.

Vivid Impact also built a store profiling software, called Precision Pop, that allows it to rebrand existing assets for convenience stores. Because the store’s information lives in the software, the company is able to customize campaigns within a few clicks — rather than the days of work it used to take them.

Campitella said over the past nine years, the company has been growing various departments to become a one-stop shop for its clients.

Vivid Impact’s graphic design team is up to 20 individuals, he said. The company also has developers, a promo and apparel team, an installation team and an architect all working in-house.

“You don’t have to go anywhere except for us,” Campitella said. “That is completely unique to the industry.”

In total, the company has 260 team members in Louisville and 40 in Mesa, Arizona. The company expanded to Arizona in 2024 to support its West Coast customer base.

Targeting $100 million

At the C-suite level, Vivid Impact has made some major additions within the last year, Campitella said.

In December 2025, Mike Lecus was brought on as Chief Operating Officer. Last month, Patrick Stoess and Luke Metzer began as Chief People Officer and Chief Technology Officer, respectively.

Campitella said the company’s “competitive urgency” is what keeps them growing — and Vivid Impact has no plans of slowing down.

Its next goal is to reach $100 million in revenue, he said.

“As we continue to focus on getting from $70 million to $100 million,” Campitella said, “we want to make sure that we bring in experts outside of our four walls to help us challenge the status quo and also to think differently.”

According to LBF research, Vivid Impact was the 12th fastest growing company inLouisville in 2025. The company also made LBF’s Partners in Philanthropy list.
